최 대 진 Daejin Choi
최대진(1974년생)은 부산에서 태어나 그곳에서 대학까지 다니다가 프랑스로 유학을 떠나 우연히 미술을 시작했고 오랜 기간 프랑스에 살았다. 오랜 외국 생활에서 얻게 된 작가의 경계인으로서의 위치 혹은 딜레마에서 나오는 개인적이고 미시적인 경험과 사유들과 동시대의 다양하게 전개되는 역사적, 사회적인 조건들과 결합하는 조형 작업들을 해오고 있다. 드로잉을 기본적인 매체로 사용하면서 조각, 입체, 설치, 영상, 사운드 등 표현 매체의 제한을 두지 않고 다양한 형태의 작업들을 보여주고 있다.
Daejin Choi(b.1974) was born in Busan and went to university there. He then went to France to study, started art coincidentally, and ended up living in France for a long time. He has been working on art that combines his personal and microscopic experiences and thoughts from his dilemmas or his position as a marginal man from his long expat life, and the historical and social conditions that develop in a variety of contemporary times. Using drawing as a basic medium, he shows various types of work, but he does not limit the medium of expression and uses techniques such as sculpture, three-dimensionality, installation, video, and sound.
정 수 정 Soojung Jung
정수정(1990년생)은 가천대학교 회화과 학사, 글래스고 예술 학교에서 석사를 졸업했다. 작가는 우리의 일상에서 느끼는 생명력과 생명력이 가득한 자연 속에서 함께 영유해가는 삶과 관계에 대해 관심을 가지고 상상을 기반으로 장면을 만든다. 최근에는 인간의 본성, 힘의 권력, 평등과 관계에 대해 고민하고 회화에 담기 위해 연구하고 있다. <봄봄 파우더, 2021> 에이라운지 갤러리, <Falconry, 매사냥 2021> SeMA 창고, <빌런들의 별, 2020> OCI 미술관 등에서 개인전을 했고, <Feather 2022> 실린더, <21세기 회화 2021> 하이트컬렉션, <나메, 2020> 뮤지엄헤드, <두 번의 똑같은 밤은 없다 2019> 서울시립 북서울미술관 등 다양한 그룹전에 참가했으며 서울에서 작업 활동을 하고 있다.
Soojung Jung(b.1990) graduated with a bachelor's degree in painting from Gachon University and a master's degree from the Glasgow School of Art. She creates scenes based on imagination, with an interest in the life and relationships we live together in nature, which is full of vitality, and the vitality that we feel in our daily lives. Recently, she has been contemplating human nature, the power of strength, equality, and relations, and researching to incorporate it into her paintings. Working in Seoul, She had solo exhibitions at A-Lounge Gallery’s ‘Bombom Powder, 2021’, SeMA Warehouse’s ‘Falconry, Falconry 2021’, and OCI Art Museum’s ‘Stars of Villains, 2020’, and various group exhibitions such as Cylinder’s ‘Feather 2022’, Hite Collection’s ‘21st Century Paintings 2021’, Museumhead’s ‘Name, 2020’, and Buk-Seoul Museum of Art’s ‘No Two Same Nights 2019’.
