베를린에서 활동하고 있는 박지나(b. 1980)는 뉴 라이프치히파와 한국 전통회화 기법을 유기적으로 결합하고 있는 보기 드문 작가입니다. 그의 작업들은 서울에서 라이프치히로, 또 베를린으로 이동하면서 마주하게 된 새로운 문화와 사회현상을 포착하고 있습니다. 이를 초현실주의 또는 독일신즉물주의적 영감으로 표현해내고 있는 것입니다. 이번 전시에서 볼 수 있듯 박지나는 한국 화단에서 찾아보기 어려운 에그 템페라 작가이기도 합니다.

Jina Park (b. 1980), who works and lives in Berlin, is a unique artist who creatively combines New Leipzig with traditional Korean painting techniques. Her work explores new cultural and social phenomena that she encountered while moving from Seoul to Leipzig and Berlin. It is represented by surrealism or German neo-implementary inspiration. Jina Park is also an Eggtempera artist which is rare in the Korean art field.
